‘Self-confidence is the real game-changer’

Shakshi Raturi is an Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication (AIMC) alumna. She pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Advertising and Marketing Communication and is currently working at Communique Marketing Solutions.  Doing the interview in between her hectic travel rush, the alumna speaks about her learnings at AIMC, the training experience and the thrill of managing big brands.

Tell us about your internship experience? 

So, I interned with Communique Marketing Solutions as a Client Servicing Executive. This is an experiential marketing company and the experience I had here was great. I have been a part of the Maruti Suzuki Jimny Media drive event, and during my time as an intern I also handled numerous big brands. It was a great learning experience which opened the doors of the industry for me. 

Why did you choose this nature of work?

I love coordinating and managing things. Interaction with diverse people also interests me a lot and so does the thrill of handling different brands.

Are you employed full time currently?

Yes, I am employed full time at Communique only. I now work not only as a  Client Servicing Executive for different brands but, I am also into influencer marketing. I am expanding my work horizon and learning more about my capabilities.  

That’s wonderful and inspiring! How was your time at AIMC?

It was a great experience, I learned many things there which helped me in building my personality. I owe a big thanks to my classmates and professors. The time I spent at AIMC was indeed special in shaping me. 

Finally, where do we see you in the next 5 years?

I see myself working at the top advertising company. That is the bullseye!
