Students, teachers and parents experienced much awaited relief after the physical reopening of Classes 9-12 in many Delhi schools on Monday. City schools were seen following Covid protocols shared by the government while welcoming students inside the campus. Body temperatures were being checked and students were encouraged to use sanitisers and follow social distancing while attending the assemblies or even during the lunch time.

Schools in the city were briefly reopened before being closed again on December 28 last year in view of the third wave of the Covid-19 virus driven by the Omicron variant.

Last week, The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) had decided that classes nursery to 8 will also resume classes from February 14.
