‘Sarwat is loving the experience of attending offline classes every day’

Shweta Gaba, a homemaker, is the mother of Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld – Model Town UKG student Sarwat Gaba. In an interview, she shares her reasons for choosing the school and appreciates the effort of the teachers during the pandemic. Edited Excerpts:

Why did you choose Apeejay over other schools?

In today’s world, children need curricular activities as well rather than simply focusing on academics. So our first priority was to find a school that values extra-curricular activities and that’s when Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld – Model Town came to our mind. We have seen for many years now that in the field of education, the Apeejay Group is one of the best places for development of the personality of the child.

I went to the school before my son’s admission. I found that the atmosphere in the school was really relaxed. The school was emphasising upon the importance of studies along with curricular activities and I wanted such a balanced approach for my son. Also during the lockdown, the way the school helped the parents for the classes was smooth. I was very happy that I have chosen the best option.

Please tell us about your child and take us through his progress at school?

Sarwat was a very shy child when he joined school. The moment he entered the school, he loved the atmosphere of the school. His personality started changing.  He became more confident and started participating in so many activities. I have never let him miss any activity. He won so many prizes and it has boosted his confidence.

He loves to dance the most and he is also fond of speaking. He is very clear about his thoughts and ideas. When he explains something, I feel very happy from inside, that my child is building a very strong foundation of thoughts. He loves poetry recitation activities as well. Oh yes! He enjoys art and craft a lot. He is very happy and eager to tell me after coming back from school, what he made during the art and craft activity.  

Are the teachers engaging well with the students?

Yes, I would recommend the staff at Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld that is really supportive. We can call the teachers anytime. They are always ready to help and are so soft-spoken. The school has a mix of young as well as experienced teachers.

I would like to thank every teacher that has been connected with my child. But I would like to personally thank Nidhi Ghai Ma’am. She is the headmistress of Apeejay Kinderworld. Whenever I miss any of Sarwat’s performances or he is unable to participate in any event, she calls me and asks about the same. I have rarely seen people going the extra mile. It is very heart-warming.

What is the best thing about the school?

I think the best thing is that the school functions in a balanced manner. They don’t just focus on academics. They also prioritise children’s health, enjoyment along with education. The school management is very good, teachers are good and they treat the children as their own children, so we are never stressed about sending our children away from home.

What is your perception of the online mode of education?

In the last two years, all of Sarwat’s classes were happening online. It is that experience which makes me recommend Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld – Model Town to every parent. We didn’t have to face any difficulty, Sarwat was connected so well.

The school has reopened since the past four months but we have started sending him only recently. Sarwat is loving the experience of going to school. He is so happy every day and I love witnessing that.
