The researchers at the Indian Institute of Information Technology Bengaluru (IIIT-B) have come up with a robotic model that they say understands humans and interacts with them based on emotions.

This bot is likely to provide deeper insights into a person’s personality, attitude, and emotions including the adoption of the Big Five personality traits, the Interpersonal Circumplex (IPC), and the Triandis Theory of Interpersonal Behavior (TIB).

This tech was developed by graduate students Soham Joshi and Arpitha Malavalli, along with Shrisha Rao, Professor at IIIT-Bangalore, the senior researcher of the study.
