Punjab: Schools to function from 10 am due to dense fog

The Chief Minister of Punjab Bhagwant Mann has announced that all the schools in the state will open at 10am. The change will be observed till Jan 21, 2023.

In a Twitter post on Dec 20, he wrote, “Due to the dense fog falling in the state, in view of the health and safety of school students and teachers, from tomorrow the opening time of all government, aided, recognised and private schools will be at 10 am. The leave will be as per the earlier time.”

At present, the state stands gripped by the cold wave. Severe fog was witnessed in several cities and the visibility has reduced.
