Punjab school ignites the flame of leadership

Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, Jalandhar, understands this well, and it bore witness to a grand event that marked the beginning of an exciting and promising academic session for 2023-24 – the Investiture Ceremony.

The programme, a beacon of pride, dignity, and hope, introduced ‘The Leaders in Making’ to the school community. It commenced with the symbolic lighting of the ceremonial lamp, a tradition steeped in significance, signifying the journey ahead and the enlightenment that will accompany it. The esteemed Principal, Sangeeta Nistandra, and Vice-principal, Priyanka Grover, along with the proud parents of the newly appointed leaders, graced this sacred ritual with their presence.

A pivotal moment arrived as the badges of authority were bestowed upon the newly elected members of the Prefectorial Board and the Student Cabinet. This responsibility, acknowledged by the Principal and House In-charges, recognised the potential within each appointee and set the stage for their journey as leaders.

The Principal, a beacon of inspiration herself, delivered a stirring speech. She said, “Leadership is not confined to a position, but rather, it is an action that inspires others through example.” She challenged students to transcend limits, to grow beyond themselves, and to be the architects of a collective vision for the future. The legacy they leave behind, she emphasised, will be cherished by all.

The leaders of the Academic Session 2023-24 were introduced with well-deserved fanfare: Head Boy – Hunar Pasricha, Head Girl – Pragati Handa, Deputy Head Boy – Ishaan Sharma and Deputy Head Girl – Anandita Anand. Their potential to lead and inspire was evident, and the school community eagerly anticipates the positive impact they will undoubtedly have on their peers and the institute itself.
