Promote technical, medical and law education in mother tongue: Amit Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has emphasised the need for states to support Hindi or regional language education in the technical, medical, and legal fields, so that the nation can make use of the talent of non-English speaking students.

In order to encourage research and innovation, Shah stated the significance of education in Hindi and other regional languages. He further claimed that when students study in their mother tongues, they can easily develop an original thought processes.

“All state governments should take initiative to properly translate the curriculum of these three fields of education into regional languages,” Amit Shah told a news portal. He added that he has nothing against the language of English while claiming that only five percent of the Indian population come from an English education background.
