President inaugurates Kaushal Bhawan, empowering skill development in New Delhi

President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated Kaushal Bhawan, a newly constructed facility for the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship in New Delhi on January 24, 2024.

During the event, the President toured exhibition stalls showcasing the accomplishments of beneficiaries from various government initiatives, including PM Vishwakarma, PM JANMAN, Skill Acquisition and Knowledge Awareness for Livelihood Promotion (SANKALP), and Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY). She engaged in conversations with the beneficiaries to understand their experiences and achievements.

Kaushal Bhawan, whose foundation stone was laid in March 2019, will serve as the office space for the ministry and its affiliated organisations, including the Directorate General of Training, the National Council for Vocational Education and Training, and the National Skill Development Corporation.

This modern office building is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and infrastructure, designed to provide a safe, convenient, and efficient work environment. The construction of Kaushal Bhawan aims to instill a new work culture and contribute to the success of the Skill India Mission.
