Recently, Apeejay School, Sector 15, Faridabad, organised an enriching workshop for its primary wing students on the theme of Good Habits and Personal Hygiene. This special session was led by Ms Seema Singh, who made the workshop lively and enjoyable for the little learners.
Understanding the importance of instilling healthy habits from a young age, the school designed the session to be both fun and educational. Through a blend of storytelling, games, live demonstrations, and engaging discussions, students were introduced to essential life skills that promote good health and overall wellness.
Storytelling meets learning
To make the concept of good habits more relatable, Ms Singh used storytelling as a powerful tool. The session was interactive as well, and the students were asked questions like: Why should we brush our teeth? Through simple yet impactful tales, she explained how everyday actions — like brushing twice a day, washing hands regularly, or keeping nails clean — can make a big difference in staying healthy.
The stories were thoughtfully chosen and kept the students engaged. They sparked curiosity and encouraged the young learners to think about their daily routines in a new light.

Hands-on demonstrations and fun games
What set this workshop apart was its interactive format. Students were not just passive listeners —they actively participated in demonstrations and games that helped reinforce the ideas being taught.
For example, children were shown the proper way to wash their hands and maintain cleanliness after playtime or before meals. Fun games were used to highlight the difference between good and bad habits in a manner that the young minds could easily understand and remember. There was a session on how we should eat more healthy food and less junk food.
Promoting wellness from an early age
Workshops like these play a crucial role in shaping the mindset of children. By introducing the importance of personal hygiene and good habits early on, Apeejay School continues its commitment to holistic development.
The message of the session was clear: Small daily actions can lead to big benefits in the long run. With consistent practice and guidance from teachers and parents, these habits will help children grow into responsible and healthy individuals.
As the session concluded, students walked away not just with smiles on their faces but also with valuable life lessons that they can apply every day.
