Apeejay Svran Global students organized a special assembly on the theme of persistence. Students learn the value of consistency at learning a skill.
‘A river cuts through a rock not because of its power but because of its persistence’
Apeejay Svran Global School class 7 students conducted a special assembly on theme of Persistence. Students emphasized on the meaning of persistence i.e. consistently doing or trying to do something even though it is opposed or acknowledged as difficult by the larger society.
The school reinforced the value of consistency in learning any skill in any field through the special assembly. The assembly also helped the children to reflect on the moral implications of their actions in various situations of life.
The assembly commenced with the soulful chanting of the Gayatri Mantra by Rhythm Nagpal. Agrini Jain recited the daily prayers. Shaurya Arora reminded the students of their responsibilities and duties as Apeejayites by reading the school pledge. Anush Bhalla emphasised on the importance of an attitude of persistence in life through the thought for the day: ‘Victory is always possible for the person who refuses to stop fighting.’ Piyush Bamba presented the news headlines for the day. The assembly was moderated by Ananya Kaushik.
A power point presentation on the importance of persistence in achieving success in life was presented by Anirudh Pruthi. In the presentation, he reiterated the meaning of persistence. He also highlighted the manner in which great personalities achieved success by practicing persistence in their respective fields. He concluded his presentation by reciting the poem: Spirit of Perseverance.
Anshita Shree powerfully recited Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s celebrated poem: Koshish karne vaalon ki kabhi haar nahi hoti. Her powerful rendition of the poem inspired all students to embody an attitude of persistence in life.
The assembly concluded with the motivational video: The Rebirth of an Eagle. The video presents the inspirational story of the painful metamorphosis an eagle must go through in the middle years of its life in order to prolong its longevity. The video highlights an eagle’s spirit of persistence in transformation and the determination to live despite all odds.
The video made the students and teachers alike reflect on their life journey and inculcate an attitude of persistence for self-growth.
Principal, Mrs. Deepika Arora addressed the students and appreciated their efforts for the special assembly.
She further reminded the students that they must all learn from how an eagle changes itself through its persistence and determination. She said, “Like an eagle you must aim to conquer the sky because soaring high is our nature.”
