As entrepreneurship continues to reshape the contemporary professional landscape, Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC) organised an insightful guest lecture under Parwaaz 2026 – The Student Onboarding Programme. The session, centred on “Start to Scale Up: How Businesses Grow from Scratch,” provided students an opportunity to understand the realities of entrepreneurship, business growth and transforming ideas into sustainable ventures.

The session featured Mr. Anurag Arora, an entrepreneur, business and technology strategist, and speaker at TEDx and Josh Talks, as the resource person. Drawing from his entrepreneurial and professional experience, Mr. Arora offered students a candid perspective on what it takes to build a business from the ground up and navigate the challenges associated with scaling it.

Welcoming the guest speaker, Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director, AIMETC, highlighted the importance of exposing students to industry professionals and real-world experiences. He encouraged students to learn from the journeys of accomplished professionals while cultivating curiosity, resilience, creativity and a commitment to continuous learning.

During the interactive session, Mr. Arora emphasised that successful businesses are rarely created overnight. Building and scaling a venture requires persistence, continuous learning, effective systems, adaptability and a clear vision. He encouraged students to approach challenges not as roadblocks but as opportunities to learn, experiment and grow.

A key takeaway from the session was the importance of identifying real-world problems and developing practical solutions. Mr. Arora urged students to look beyond ideas in isolation and focus on how those ideas can address genuine needs. His insights helped students understand that entrepreneurship involves not only having a vision but also possessing the discipline and adaptability required to turn that vision into meaningful outcomes.

The speaker also highlighted the growing influence of artificial intelligence, technology and automation in contemporary businesses. With industries evolving rapidly, he encouraged students to remain curious, embrace emerging technologies and continuously upgrade their skills to remain relevant in an increasingly dynamic professional environment.

The session also encouraged students to consider entrepreneurship as a viable career pathway alongside conventional professional choices. Mr. Arora’s message of starting small, learning continuously and building with purpose resonated with students and encouraged them to approach their aspirations with greater confidence and a growth-oriented mindset.

Mr. Arora’s experience as a speaker on platforms such as TEDx and Josh Talks, along with features of his entrepreneurial journey in YourStory, The Better India and The Tribune, added further relevance to the interaction and offered students a broader perspective on entrepreneurship and professional growth.

The session concluded with a vote of thanks expressing gratitude to Mr. Anurag Arora for sharing his experiences, insights and entrepreneurial journey. Appreciation was also extended to Dr. Rajesh Bagga for his support in facilitating the enriching interaction.

Overall, the guest lecture served as a valuable learning experience under Parwaaz 2026, reinforcing its vision of equipping students with the confidence, awareness and perspectives needed to navigate their academic, professional and entrepreneurial journeys.

The session left students with a powerful message: start small, think big, embrace challenges and keep scaling your dreams.
