The 21st century education is all about parents and school being members of one team and not two competing groups. This is where Apeejay School, Noida steps in as it believes in active partnership between the educational institution and parents. It’s only fitting that the first step in this direction is a composite introduction of parents to the ethos and values of the school they are sending their children to.

To give a breath of life to this thought, Apeejay School, Noida recently organised an Orientation Day for the parents of the newly enrolled students, across classes Nursery to 11.

The orientation day began with a floral tribute to the Founder-Chairman, Dr. Stya Paul, whose ideals have been a guiding light for all. Amrita Hajela, Vice Principal at the school, gave a warm welcome to the distinguished guests and all the parents.

Lighting of the lamp and the invocation dance by the budding dance enthusiasts of the school marked an auspicious beginning for the day. Education officer of the Apeejay Education Group D.K. Bedi spoke about the value system and the ethos of the school. He further said, “There are several intricate nuances of parenting and how these impact the overall development of children while they are growing. Moreover, school always plays a crucial role in a students’ life.”

It was followed by a highly interactive session of counselling conducted by the renowned counsellor, parenting coach and national resource person for Nationwide Adolescent Education Programme, Dr. Geetanjali Kumar. She heartily responded to all the queries of the anxious parents. She impressed the parents by solving their concerns and offering them genuine and practical advice.

Post the session, AK Sharma, Principal, took the parents through a virtual tour of the school and spoke about its ideologies. He shared the scholastic and co-scholastic achievements of the school through a PowerPoint Presentation. He also spoke about the school’s quintessence and its contribution to the society with special emphasis on character building .
