Open to invite capital from everywhere for Indian education: Dharmendra Pradhan 

Union Education and Skill Development Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, has stated that the country is open to “invite capital from everywhere” to provide quality educational infrastructure. It can train and skill over 255 million youth in the 15-25 age group and improve the Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER) for higher education from 27% to 50% by 2030, according to the minister.

He further added that the government will “very soon” release new guidelines for foreign players in the education sector.

The government permits 100% foreign direct investment in the sector through the automatic route, however, foreign investors have not shown much enthusiasm thus far.
