Apeejay School, Model Town organised a cyclothon in Jalandhar to mark the 102nd birth anniversary of Late Dr. Stya Paul, Founder President Apeejay Education Society

On the morning of October 4 2021, the streets of Jalandhar city in Punjab were filled with spirit and vigour as Apeejay School, Model Town students along with their parents pedalled their way to fitness.

A mega cyclothon was announced by Apeejay School, Model Town and Rotary Club of Jalandhar, dedicating the day to the Founder Chairman of Apeejay Education Society, Late Dr. Stya Paul.

As the school commemorated his 102nd birth anniversary, the event was flagged off by Mr. Simerjeet Singh, a motivational speaker and performance coach along with Mr. Balraj Khehra, MTV Roadies Season 14 winner, and Mr. Rajan Syal, Founder, Parindey group, a fitness, dance and acting academy. With more than a hundred cyclists across age groups traversing a 10-kilometre track, the occasion was also graced by Hawk riders, a renowned cycling group, amongst others.

The school’s Principal, Ms. Sinia Sajith addressed the gathering by sharing Dr. Stya Paul’s vision of holistic education with a focus on mental and physical health. She highlighted how both these aspects form a cornerstone for excellence. Marking that the Apeejay legacy continues through Dr. Stya Paul’s only daughter Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia, she emphasised the value of holistic learning paired with Indian values.

Towards the closing of the mega event, each cyclist received t-shirts, medals and certificates for participation.
