On 103^rd birth anniversary of Dr Stya Paul, students salute the Yugpurush!

Dr Stya Paul was an eminent industrialist, educationist, freedom fighter and philanthropist of the highest order who provided the foundation and inspiration for the emergence of the Apeejay Stya Group and the Apeejay Education Society. 

To commemorate the 103^rd birth anniversary of beloved Founder-Chairman Dr Stya Paul, Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri proudly celebrated Founder’s Day.

Marking the auspicious occasion, , a special programme was organised which commenced with offering a floral tribute to Dr. Stya Paul and the school pledged to walk the path shown by him, who was a beacon of inspiration for many.

On this pious occasion, the favourite bhajans of Dr. Stya Paul were sung by the school choir. A class 6 student, Rajashree, sang one of his favourite bhajans – Vaishnav jan te taine kahiye.

This was followed by the address by Rudrendra Basak,Principal of Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri. He said, “It would be indeed a befitting tribute to the extraordinary soul – the Yugpurush, who was an epitome of peace and love.”

Further, he exhorted the students to realise the vision of life and achievements of Dr. Stya Paul through adopting his qualities like hard work, fearlessness and love for truth.

Principal Rudrendra Basak also read out the message given by Ms. Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Education to all students and staff on this auspicious occasion

“Commemorating Dr. Stya Paul’s birthday is our way of paying tribute to his determination, hard work and spirit of excellence that helped him rise from humble beginnings and overcome physical disabilities to become one of the most successful and respected men of this nation. Words cannot merely depict or reflect the illustrious achievements of his life, or the depths of his multidimensional personality.

His punctuality, sense of discipline, dedication and focus made him an ideal role model of excellence for all those who worked with him. For Dr Stya Paul, work was passion, and he hated to miss office even when he was ill. He had a sharp memory for people, was an excellent listener, apart from being a good orator and writer.

So, as we remember and honour him on this day, let us take a pledge to uphold the legacy of excellence that he leaves behind, and strive to achieve the goals to which he devoted his life.”

Subsequently, a short cultural programme on the theme ‘Soaring High Is My Nature’ was organised by the school students. Towards the end of the event, students were honoured with ‘Dr. Stya Paul Award for Human Values’. The prestigious award was received by Akansha from class XI for Sr. secondary section, Aryan from class X  from secondary section. From the middle section, Kashish from class VIII and Anshu from class VII bagged this award.

The celebration concluded with sweets distribution among all the school students.
