‘Nurturing hobbies help me stay confident, creative, active, and balanced alongside academics’

Dakshika Sharma, a second-year student at Apeejay Stya University, Gurugram, believes in combining academics with creativity and personal growth. Passionate about AI, Data Science, anchoring, and content creation, she chose the university for its practical learning environment and focus on holistic development. What skills did you learn at Apeejay that will help you in your growth?
At Apeejay Stya University, I have learned many valuable skills such as communication skills, teamwork, presentation skills, problem-solving, and technical knowledge related to AI and Data Science. Apart from academics, I have also learned anchoring skills, event management, leadership, and public speaking through different university activities and events. These experiences helped me become more confident and improved my personality as well as professional growth.

How are the teachers training you?
The teachers are very supportive and interactive. They focus on both theoretical and practical learning. They encourage students to ask questions, participate in discussions, and work on real-life projects and presentations. They also guide us personally whenever we face difficulties in academics or career planning, which helps us learn in a better and more confident way.

What are your hobbies and how is Apeejay Stya University helping you nurture your hobbies?
My hobbies include dancing, basketball, anchoring, and content creation. I enjoy creating content because it helps me express my creativity, improve my communication skills, and connect with people. Apeejay Stya University provides many opportunities through clubs, cultural programs, sports activities, competitions, and university events where students can showcase and improve their talents. These activities help me stay confident, creative, active, and balanced along with my academics.

What are your future aspirations?
My future aspiration is to build a successful career in the technology field, especially in AI and Data Science, where I can continuously grow personally and professionally. I want to improve my technical and communication skills, gain practical experience, and become financially independent. Along with career success, I also want to inspire others through my creativity, confidence, and dedication.
