The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the revised syllabus for the NEET-UG examination to align with the curriculum rationalised by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and other State Boards. The NEET-UG exam, the largest medical admissions test in the country, is scheduled for May 5, 2024.

In a notification posted on the NTA’s website, the National Medical Commission stated that all the stakeholders, especially the aspiring candidates, that the Undergraduate Medical Education Board, an autonomous body under the National Medical Commission, has finalised the NEET (UG)-2024 syllabus. The same has been uploaded on the NMC’s website for the reference of the public at large. The stakeholders are advised to refer to the updated syllabus for NEET (UG)-2024 for the preparation of the study material and for preparation of NEET (UG) examinations for the academic session 2024-25.

Earlier this month, the NTA also rationalised the syllabus for the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE Main) 2024 to synchronise it with the rationalised syllabus of CBSE and other State Boards. Such a measure has been taken up to reduce the academic burden on students.
