New beginnings are ushered in through sacred divine blessings 

Apeejay School, Rama Mandi, Jalandhar, began the new academic session with a spiritual and traditional start by organising its annual havan ceremony. Held every year at the commencement of the session, the sacred ritual aims to invoke divine blessings and positive energies for a successful and enriching year ahead.

On the very first day of the new session, the entire school community assembled in the school auditorium for the morning assembly. The atmosphere was filled with hope, enthusiasm, and devotion. The assembly began with a soulful prayer, creating a serene and focused environment for all. Morning prayers at Apeejay School have always been considered a vital part of the day, setting the right tone for learning and growth.

Following the prayer, the students presented the thoughts for the day and latest news updates, infusing a sense of motivation and awareness. A warm welcome speech by the students added a personal touch, extending heartfelt greetings to their peers and teachers. The School Principal then addressed the gathering, warmly welcoming the students and staff to the new academic year. In her inspiring message, she emphasised the importance of discipline, curiosity, and consistent effort, wishing everyone a fulfilling and successful journey ahead.

As part of the school’s tradition and commitment to Indian cultural values, the ceremony was organised in the school’s quadrangle. Surrounded by chants of sacred mantras and the gentle crackle of the holy fire, the ritual offered a moment of peace and reflection. The ceremony involved offering a blend of samagri (sacred materials) to the fire while reciting Vedic hymns. These offerings symbolised devotion, purity, and gratitude to the divine.

The Principal, Vice-principal, faculty members, and students actively participated in the ritual. With folded hands and solemn expressions, they took turns offering the samagri, praying for a fruitful and harmonious academic session. The fragrance of incense and the rhythmic chanting created a divine ambiance that left everyone spiritually uplifted.

The havan ceremony not only fostered a sense of unity and spiritual grounding but also reinforced the school’s commitment to holistic development.
