The Primary Department of Apeejay School, Noida, organised the engaging CCA activity Mystery Monument-Discover India’s Heritage for students of Classes III to V on August 5, 2026. The activity was designed to spark curiosity among young learners and encourage them to explore India’s rich historical, architectural, and cultural heritage interactively.

As part of the activity, each section was assigned a famous Indian monument. The students were initially shown only a close-up image or silhouette of their respective monument, without revealing its identity. This created an element of mystery and excitement as students carefully observed distinctive architectural features, shapes, and patterns to identify the monument. Their enthusiastic guesses reflected their keen observation skills and growing awareness of India’s heritage.

Once the monument was revealed, students participated in discussions and shared interesting facts about its history, architecture, location, and cultural significance. This peer-learning approach allowed students to learn from one another while developing their confidence in speaking before their classmates. It also encouraged them to ask questions and discover fascinating stories associated with India’s iconic landmarks.

The creative aspect of the activity added further colour to the learning experience. Students prepared artwork and informative fact sheets related to their assigned monuments. These were displayed on the class boards, transforming the classrooms into vibrant heritage galleries. The displays showcased students’ creativity while highlighting their understanding and appreciation of India’s historical legacy.

The activity successfully integrated experiential learning with creativity and collaboration. It strengthened important skills such as observation, research, communication, public speaking, and teamwork. More importantly, it encouraged students to look beyond textbooks and develop a deeper connection with the country’s diverse cultural heritage.

Mystery Monument: Discover India’s Heritage proved to be an enjoyable and enriching learning experience. By combining curiosity, creativity, and knowledge, the activity inspired students to appreciate India’s magnificent monuments and understand their significance. It also nurtured a sense of pride in the nation’s heritage while encouraging students to become confident, curious, and responsible young citizens committed to preserving and celebrating India’s cultural legacy.
