My trip to Shimla

Family vacations are the best time of the year. We decided to plan a trip to my favourite destination Shimla. We boarded a flight from Mumbai to Delhi and then traveled by road to Chandigarh, where we spent a full day. In Chandigarh, we visited the Rock Garden, Rose Garden, and Sukhna Lake.

The next morning, we reached Shimla by road. Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh, is a famous hill station in India. One of my cousins had visited Shimla and thus, suggested the best places to visit in the city. We also had a great time in a place called Kufri, which is approximately 16 km from Shimla. Kufri offers beautiful natural scenery, and we enjoyed Yak riding there.

One thing we missed in Shimla was ice skating, which is usually takes place from December to February. During our visit, we explored The Ridge, the Mall Road, the Jakhu Temple, the State Museum, and took a ride on the Jakhu Ropeway. We also had a pleasant evening at the Lakkar Bazaar, a wood market in Shimla that features various wooden items, including beautiful articles like walking sticks and decorative pieces. We brought a few precious wooden items back home.
