Amisha Arora, currently pursuing her MBA from Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC), Jalandhar, has recently secured a placement offer from Hike Education as a Business Development Executive. Her journey at Apeejay has been filled with learning and personal growth, where presentations, projects, and group discussions helped her strengthen communication skills, confidence, and corporate readiness. Read edited excerpts:
How do you feel receiving the placement offer? What position have you been offered?
Honestly, it feels really good and a bit relieving also because all the hard work finally paid off. It gives me confidence that I’m on the right path. I have been offered the position of [Business Development Executive], and I’m excited to start working and gain real experience.
How did you prepare for your placements?
I didn’t do anything fancy, just stayed consistent. I worked on my basics, practiced interview questions, and gave mock interviews. I also improved my communication and stayed updated with current news. Slowly I gained confidence. PEP classes were also held, which helped a lot in preparation
How did your teachers at Apeejay help you during the placement process?
My teachers were really supportive throughout. They helped me with my resume, guided me on what to prepare, and took mock interviews. Their feedback helped me understand where I was going wrong and how I could improve. They also kept motivating me, which really helped during stressful times.
Tips to crack job interview
I would say just be clear with your basics and be confident. Don’t try to fake answers because interviewers can easily tell. Know your resume properly. Practice beforehand, but don’t sound memorised. Stay calm, be polite, and just be yourself.
Your future aspirations
Right now, my focus is to learn as much as I can and gain good experience. I want to build my skills and grow step by step. In the future, I would like to take on bigger responsibilities and maybe move into a leadership role.
