Ms Vithika is the mother of class 2 Apeejay School Faridabad, Sector 15 student Pragunn Chopra. Pragunn is a bubbly little girl who loves to spend time on the computer and has a penchant for dance.
Speaking about her daughter’s progress in an interview, the mother explains how the teachers in the school illustrate a concept through fun practical demonstrations. Edited excerpts:
Are you happy after enrolling Pragunn in this school?
I am so glad that I chose Apeejay School, Faridabad, Sector 15 for Pragunn. There are many reasons for it. First, it’s strong academic reputation. Second, its focus is providing a well-rounded education that includes extracurricular activities and character development. The third strong reason is the overall grooming – my daughter doesn’t have stage fright, she has become a very confident child; thanks to the school.
How has her progress been so far?
I am very impressed with the progress Pragunn has made. She has become more confident too. All the teachers are amazing. A massive thank you to Archana ma’am who taught all the kids in a very friendly way. Pragunn always speaks very highly of her teachers at home. Thanks to all the staff for their hard work and help.
My child has a habit, if her concept is not clear, she will keep on asking the questions till she is very clear and the teachers in the school never get irritated. Also, during the revision time, teachers ensure that the kids are learning in the school as well.
Are the teachers using any new learning techniques?
Best thing about the school is that game-based learning methods are designed specifically to integrate fun into the lesson. For example, they often have role plays in the class.
Another aspect I like the most is that apart from theoretical knowledge, they give practical knowledge as well so that the kids can relate to it. For example, in the Computer Science subject, Sonu ma’am ensures that kids are doing practical work in the computer labs after the completion of the theoretical part.
Does she have any interest in sports?
Yes, she does. Nowadays most of the kids don’t know about games like kho-kho, kabaddi but Pragunn knows how to play these games. Shanti ma’am engages them in all the sports be it in-door or out-door. Pragunn likes Chess, Kho-Kho, Volleyball, and lawn tennis the most.

What about extracurricular skills?
Pragunn likes all the extracurricular activities done in the school. Last session, she joined a clay modelling class. She enjoyed the session to a level that till date she makes beautiful miniatures with super light clay and amazes us with her creativity.
Pragunn is also part of Sports Guru classes. She likes dancing, drawing, music, sports, all of these.
We hope she has made many friends in her class?
Indeed! Pragunn is a very bubbly child. She has made many good friends and shares a perfect bonding with them.
Any recent achievements?
Pragunn has participated with me in the jell-well buddies event and we bagged the second prize in the dance competition.
Lastly, tell us about her academic progress! Which subjects does she like and dislike?
She is good in studies and loves all the subjects but especially Computer and English. These are very dear to her.
