‘My daughter bagged scholar-badge award back-to-back in last two years’

Ahana Verma is not just another class 9 student at Apeejay School, Faridabad, Sector-15. She is a gifted girl who loves studying and it reflects well in her academic progress. A big fan of legendary Amitabh Bachchan’s show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), Ahana is already participating in quizzes in her school. 

Speaking to her mother in a quick parent interview, we learn about Ahana’s activities in school, her accomplishments and her interests beyond books.

How is Aahana doing at the school?

She is doing great. I mean, what the school is providing to all the students through academics, extracurriculars and sport is simply commendable. So, yes, I am very satisfied with the school. 

What are Ahana’s favourite subjects?

She is doing great in all subjects, but her favourite is Math, Social Science and General Science.

And which one does she find boring?

She doesn’t find anything boring. Actually, my daughter is very studious by nature so she loves to read and understand all the subjects and has a great time at the school. She enjoys studying. 

Wow! That’s rare these days. So, any interest in sports?

She loves to play badminton in school and  loves watching cricket as well as football on TV.

Hope she is watching the ICC Men’s cricket world cup?

Oh yes! She catches most of the games with her father. Her favourite player among the current players is Virat Kohli. She is also a big MSD (Mahendra Singh Dhoni) fan.

What about extracurriculars in the school?

My daughter loves quizzing. She is glued to the KBC TV show and loves to quiz at school. 

How are the teachers teaching? 

It’s all wonderful. I attended Ahana’s PTM recently and I appreciated the way the teachers spoke with every parent. Their efforts behind each and every child is reflecting well. I am very happy with them. Shagun Bagga ma’am, Vandana ma’am and Simi Sood ma’am in particular are doing a great job with my child.

Lastly, any recent achievement of Ahana?

She has got the scholar badge award this year. She bagged it last year as well. As you can understand, I told you my daughter is very studious. She is really brilliant in academics.
