Indu Sharma, senior merchandiser, Richa & Co, enrolled her daughter Siddhi in Apeejay School, Saket, last year in nursery. In just a year, her daughter has shown significant development in her overall personality. She tells us more about the school and its teachers in an interview.

Excerpts:

Why did you pick Apeejay School, Saket?

We wanted a good CBSE school close to our house. Since my relative’s children were already studying at Apeejay School, Saket, they recommended it for my daughter as well. They gave me positive feedback about the school, so we didn’t have to think much before enrolling our daughter.

What was your first interaction with the staff like?

The admission was quite smooth and was completed in just a couple of days. The principal was very supportive and helpful as were the teachers and they continue so even now.

What kind of developments are you noticing in Siddhi?

Siddhi has been showing signs of improvement. Even without experiencing playschool, she has been able to settle in quite comfortably at Apeejay. She interacts with teachers and has made many friends. She is now able to count, identify colours and objects, and also speak in English. Not just that, she has been participating in various co-curricular activities as well. My daughter, who used to be quite shy, is a confident girl now.

Do the teachers give personal attention to your child?

Siddhi is taking some time to develop her writing skills. But her teachers have been extremely patient. In fact, when I raised the concern, the principal and Siddhi’s teacher explained to me how to allow my child to learn at her pace without burdening her with too much. To help her learn, I began sending her to school half an hour prior to the official school timings so that the teacher could give her extra attention and guidance. And it has had a good impact on my child, who is showing a lot of improvement.
