‘My alma mater gave me the best gift ever – a great job’

Prajapati Kiran is a Key Relationship Manager at ICICI Prudential. She pursued her MBA from Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC) in Jalandhar and currently enjoys her life working in the field of her dreams.  

In an informal interview, Prajapati speaks about her work profile, lessons learnt from MBA and the placement cell experience. Read edited excerpts: 

Tell us a bit about your work life?
I have been working for the past one year and six months. My work timings are from 10am to 7pm. I really love working at the bank. I am happy here. 

How was the campus placement experience?
It was a very good experience. The college did a lot for our personal development. AIMETC has a 100% placement success. And the reason is the way they train each and every student. 

Did the faculty groom you well?
Yes. The faculty groomed me a lot and trained me for the placement process. They mentored us all so well and then I got selected at ICICI Bank. I was the happiest then.

How was the MBA time? Any life lessons?
I improved a lot on my communication skills. And it comes handy in my job almost every minute. Then  finance and accounting skills are also coming handy in my work. 

How was your overall experience?
Just awesome! AIMETC has such supportive teachers and I also made so many friends. I did my MBA after a 3 year gap, after my graduation, and I regained a lot of skills. At AIMETC, I picked up on a lot of things and I can’t be more thankful to them. I got a job through this college. Can anything be greater!
