On August 3, 2023 a significant event unfolded. Union Minister for Education, Dharmendra Pradhan, and Union Minister for External Affairs, Dr S Jaishankar, came together to launch the Study in India (SII) platform. This dedicated website serves as an essential resource for obtaining comprehensive information about higher education institutions (HEIs) in India.

The SII portal aims to showcase a wide array of academic programmes offered by these HEIs, encompassing undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes. Moreover, it highlights courses related to the rich Indian Knowledge System (IKS), including subjects like Yoga, Ayurveda, classical arts, and more. Prospective students can access detailed information about the academic facilities, research support, and other relevant resources available at these institutes.

In essence, the portal stands as a valuable tool to facilitate and encourage international students in pursuing higher education opportunities in India.

Students will be able to apply to more than one institute/course of their choice. It will be a one-stop spot for student registration, visa application process, choosing the desired courses and receiving offer letters from the institute. The programme will offer a streamlined and well-organised application process for international students seeking higher education opportunities in the country.
