‘Making music from words’: Poem by Sanvi Bhoi, Apeejay School, Nerul

A poem is not a collection of a few words or lines,
But of thoughts, feelings and emotions of many kinds,
To me, writing a poem feels like a whole new world,
Where my expressions are ready to spin and swirl!

It all starts with just a little thought,
Who knew a whole melody was to be brought!
I start writing the first few lines,
A power inside me gives me a few signs.

I write the poem in a rhythm, which takes my breath away.
The sound of me writing becomes my music for the day!
I write using my thoughts and expressions,
That’s how I wrote and made this poem my possession!

A poem is a poet’s greatest treasure,
They are written with great skill and measure,
A poem really has no specific way of writing it,
All that is needed is to keep trying and to never quit!

Let us pen our thoughts down,
And experience the happiness a poem brings around!
