The spirit of Janmashtami, celebrating the birth of Lord Krishna, came alive with joy, devotion and cultural fervour at Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld, Jalandhar. The celebration brought together young learners, parents, grandparents and teachers, who participated enthusiastically in a range of traditional and cultural activities.
The auditorium was beautifully decorated with vibrant colours and creative displays depicting different aspects of Lord Krishna’s life and childhood, creating a festive and devotional ambience. Dressed in traditional attire, the little ones added to the charm of the celebration with their enthusiasm and colourful costumes.
The cultural programme featured a series of captivating performances by the young learners. The LKG students presented a soulful Krishna bhajan, filling the auditorium with a devotional spirit. This was followed by a mesmerising dance performance by the UKG students to the tunes of popular Krishna bhajans. Their rhythmic movements, coordinated steps and vibrant costumes delighted the audience and earned them enthusiastic applause.


Adding a special touch to the celebrations, children from Pre-Nursery to UKG also participated in solo performances and presented songs and bhajans with their grandparents. The performances provided a wonderful opportunity for different generations to come together and celebrate India’s rich cultural heritage.
One of the most exciting highlights of the celebration was the traditional Dahi Handi activity. The children eagerly participated in the festive moment, enjoying the spirit of teamwork, excitement and celebration associated with the occasion.
The celebrations concluded on a delightful note with a traditional feast featuring sweets and snacks associated with Janmashtami. The children thoroughly enjoyed the festive treats while experiencing the cultural significance of the occasion.
Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group, Chancellor Apeejay Stya University, and Chairman, Apeejay Education, believes in fostering cultural awareness and nurturing Indian values among children from an early age. Janmashtami celebrations provide young learners with a meaningful platform to connect with Indian traditions and understand their cultural significance in an engaging and joyful manner.









Mr. Rajesh Kumar Chandel, Principal, Apeejay School, Model Town and Ms. Nidhi Ghai, School Incharge, Rhythms along with the teachers were also present on the occasion and encouraged the children throughout the celebrations.
The Janmashtami celebration was a memorable blend of devotion, creativity, cultural learning and togetherness, leaving the young learners with joyful memories and a deeper appreciation of India’s rich traditions.
