But things were different this year,

And I don’t remember the person I was.

So let’s replay, rewind and recall,

Of what life this year was and was not.

You know, life never goes the way you plan it,

For it comes with a script called destiny.

Unexpected happens when it’s meant to be,

Is what this year taught me.

Met new people and even saw some go.

But this one person just taught me,

That what we usually do is just exist,

While the purpose is to live all the time.

Shy and introvert,

My friends saw me speak.

July was definitely a surprise,

When you’re ready to do this thing called “life”

My eyes capture memories and moments,

And I enjoy being with people.

But see them like experiences,

Some evil, some peaceful.

And I know that I may have given grief,

Knowing or unknowingly.

An apology for the entire year,

I’m sorry if you had shed a tear.

Welcoming the coming year,

With abundance of happiness and lessons.

Extremely grateful, deeply blessed

For me, for you and for the rest.
