JoSAA 2025: Round 3 seat allotment today

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) is set to release the results for Round 3 of the 2025 seat allocation process on Wednesday, July 2. Candidates hoping to view their allotment status will need to log in at (josaa.nic.in) (https://josaa.nic.in) using their application number and password.

Those who are allotted a seat in this round must complete the necessary formalities, including online reporting, uploading of documents, and payment of admission fees by 5 pm on July 4. Candidates facing issues with document verification or fee payment must ensure all problems are resolved no later than 5 pm on July 5.

Additionally, students who choose to opt out of the seat allocation process or discontinue their participation in future rounds of JoSAA counselling can formally withdraw between 5 pm on July 2 and 5 pm on July 4.

In preparation for the upcoming academic year, JoSAA has also published detailed schedules for student orientation and class commencement across all 23 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). These plans are now available on the official JoSAA website.

Each IIT has outlined its own set of dates for student arrival, registration, orientation, and the start of classes. While specific timelines vary, most institutes will begin their academic sessions between July 28 and August 5.

Important dates for select IITs:

IIT Bombay: Students must arrive by July 20. Orientation runs from July 21 to 26, with classes starting on July 28.

IIT Delhi: Reporting is on July 21, followed by orientation from July 22 to 30. Classes begin July 31.

IIT Madras: Document checks are scheduled for July 24 and 25. Orientation takes place on July 26 and 27, with the academic session kicking off on July 31.

IIT Kanpur: Reporting begins July 21. Orientation will be held from July 22 to 30, with classes starting July 31.

IIT Roorkee: Registration is slated for July 25, orientation on July 26, and classes from July 28.

IIT Kharagpur: Students are to report between July 22 and 23. Induction events run from July 25 to 28, and classes commence on July 29.

IIT Gandhinagar: A comprehensive foundation program spans July 21 to August 15, with classes beginning August 18.

IIT Tirupati: Orientation begins July 28, and the academic year starts on August 4.

IIT Indore: Life skills training is scheduled from July 26 to August 3, followed by the first day of classes on August 4.

Other IITs, including Bhilai, Hyderabad, Guwahati, Jodhpur, and Palakkad, will follow similar schedules, with most students reporting by late July and classes starting in early August.
