‘Joining Apeejay was the best decision of my life’

Keshav Singla is the Accounts Manager at ICICI Bank Ltd. He is an alumnus from Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC), Jalandhar, who pursued his MBA and secured campus placement. 

In a quick chat, Keshav tells us about his experience at AIMETC as well as explains how pursuing an MBA from AIMETC was the turning point of his career. 

Keshav, Please share about your placement experience. 

Pursuing MBA from AIMETC has been the best decision of my life . I got my dream job due to this college. I always wanted to go ahead in the banking doirection, work in big financial companies. And I got my first job in ICICI Bank itself, all thanks to AIMETC.

Did the faculty groom you well?

Dr Ajwinder and Rajinder ma’am guided me so well. They are the reasons why I could crack the placement. I am so grateful to them. 

And how was the MBA time?

It was fantastic. I learnt about the importance of discipline in AIMETC. If you have this quality, then you can achieve everything in life. 

 Tell us a bit about your work?

It is all related to finance. I specialised in finance during my MBA and so, my work is also in the same domain. I handle import, export and inland letter of credits. My working hours are from 9:30 in the morning to 6 in the evening at the bank. 

 A word of advice for the current students?

Listen to your faculty because their guidance is what makes the difference. And take studies seriously. If you are serious about your field, only then can you go ahead. Of course, I do not need to highlight that attending classes is compulsory.
