In the realm of academic excellence and competitive spirit, the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) stands as a towering benchmark. It is regarded as one of the most credible and challenging entrance tests in India since JEE is the golden ticket to the nation’s top engineering institutes, including the prestigious IITs and NITs.
Riding on a similar expectation, three students of Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, have proved their mettle by topping the JEE Main 2025 entrance exam. Meet Suryanshu Singh, Pranay Chopra, and Mehul Jain, who have scored 97.75, 97.36 and 94.97 percentiles, respectively.

Speaking about his preparation strategy, Suryanshu said, “My preparation strategy for JEE Mains revolved around building a strong understanding of core concepts and consistently practising a large number of previous years’ questions. This approach not only reinforced my knowledge but also improved my problem-solving speed and accuracy.”

Pranay mentioned that he upped his game during the last moments. “The turning point came after our school fest in October — I made a big decision to quit coaching and completely switch to self-study. I already had a decent grasp of most chapters from a board exam perspective, so I focused on refining those concepts and put a lot of effort into solving PYQs — over 100 per chapter, which paid off,” he said.
Handling both Class XII Boards along with JEE preparation was no mean feat. For Suryanshu, managing the Board exams alongside was comparatively easier, as their syllabus is much more limited than that of JEE.
Though Pranay’s trick was to take it easy, come what may. “For the Board exams, I revised before the tests and focused on key questions. But when the final board exams arrived, I went all in — solved multiple sample papers and gave it everything I had.”

Mehul Jain who scored 94.97 percentile in JEE Main 2025 credits his success to the unwavering support and motivation provided by his teachers and parents, which played a crucial role in his preparation journey.
So are they satisfied with the current results, or have different plans?
“Now, I’m preparing for JEE Advanced. There are times when I solve an Advanced-level question and wonder if the book is misprinted, because I can’t believe I cracked it. But my goal is now clear: I want to crack Advanced,” shared Pranay.

Though Suryanshu is satisfied with his JEE Mains result, “I am now focusing my efforts on preparing for JEE Advanced.”
Now, after achieving such great scores, the future for these prodigies is all set too. As Suryanshu wishes to pursue computer science engineering from one of the IITs, and Pranay aspires to build a human-friendly technology.
