Taking forward Apeejay’s mission of promoting children’s all-round development, Apeejay Rama Mandi has been strongly encouraging young sports lovers in school to explore their potential and achieve success in their respective games. And the students have truly lived up to the school’s expectations by bringing home accolades for the institution.

To name a few, the school’s U-19 girls’ basketball team secured the first position at the zonal level. The U-17 girls’ basketball team, on the other hand, won the third position. At the district level, both teams secured second position.

Said class XI student Harveer Kaur from the U-19 team, “I played both at the zonal and district level. Now we are gearing up for the state level and are preparing to give our best.”

At Punjab Khed Mela, on the other hand, the school bagged three gold medals and qualified for the state level.

The students also won prizes in other sports. In football, the U-14 boys’ team won the third position at the zonal level; Jashandeep of class XII from the U-19 team has been selected for the district team. “It has been a great experience so far. I have been representing my school in various tournaments including at the national level. My school has played a huge role in honing my talent,” he said.

Besides, class XI student Manroop Singh and class X student Harjot Kaur from U-17, and class VI student Sahibjit Singh from U-14 won silver medals and were selected for state level. Harjot also won a gold medal in the Punjab Khed Mela district championship.
