Jalandhar Institute organises ‘Voice Your Choice: Voters Awareness Program’

Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC) in Jalandhar demonstrated its dedication to democratic values and civic engagement by organising the ‘Voice Your Choice: Voters Awareness Program’ within its premises. This initiative aimed to instill a sense of responsibility among students to exercise their voting rights impartially, ensuring the selection of the most deserving candidates.

The event comprised various engaging activities designed to raise awareness about the significance of voting without prejudice based on language, religion, caste, color, or community. Students enthusiastically participated in the following events:

The program kicked off with a solemn pledge ceremony where students pledged to vote without succumbing to inducements or biases, reaffirming their commitment to democracy and nation-building.

A Creative Writing Competition provided students with a platform to express their views on the theme ‘Mera Pehla Vote Desh Ke Naam,’ showcasing their understanding of the importance of the first vote for the nation.

In the Podcast Competition, students exhibited their oratory skills and persuasive abilities by creating informative and motivational podcasts. They urged their peers to participate actively in the electoral process and provided insights into voter registration procedures.

Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director of AIMETC, expressed his delight over the enthusiastic participation of students in the program. He emphasised the crucial role of youth in shaping the future of democracy and commended their dedication to making informed electoral decisions.

Furthermore, Dr. Bagga praised the efforts of the event coordinators, including Mr. Santosh Mishra, Mr. Rajiv Kumar Bhardwaz, Ms. Kanika Chopra, Ms. Parmjit Kaur, Ms. Hardeep Kaur Saini, and Ms. Amarjit Kaur, for their meticulous planning and execution.
