The National Cadet Corps (NCC) stands as a revered institution, serving as India’s second line of defense. With a resolute focus on training, it equips a multitude of young individuals to be prepared for defense roles, should the need arise. At its core, the NCC’s mission revolves around instilling the virtues of character, self-discipline, confidence, and hard work, thereby shaping its cadets into dynamic and responsible citizens, integral to the nation’s progress. Beyond its military orientation, the NCC plays a pivotal role in character development, infusing values of patriotism that deeply resonate with students. And so, the NCC assumes a paramount role within educational institutions, contributing substantially to the holistic growth of students and nurturing a sense of national pride. The aim is to promote the overall personality development of an individual.

This is precisely what the NCC at Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC) in Jalandhar aimed at. It conducted an enrollment drive for the students of BTech, BCom (H), BCA, MCA, BBA and MBA.

Commanding Officer Mr. Vinod Joshi, Subedar Mr. Rajwinder Singh, and other officials from 2 PB BN NCC Jalandhar elaborated the benefits of joining the National Cadet Corps and wonderfully elucidated how an NCC cadet has cutting-edge over the other students.

During the process, physical tests and other activities were carried out. A written test was also conducted to check general knowledge of the students post the physical test

A total of 18 students from all the above-mentioned  courses were enrolled during the process. Mr. Rohit Verma, Assistant Professor at the School of Information Technology accompanied the students for the process.

In the end, Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director at AIMETC, congratulated and motivated the students to serve the nation by becoming a part of NCC Wing.
