Recently,  Apeejay Premier League (APL 4) cricket match was organised by the Department of Physical Education at Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA), Jalandhar in collaboration with the Student Welfare Association.

Students across all departments  participated with great enthusiasm. The three-day long tournament consisted of seven teams namely – Titans, Tough Ones, Royal Strikers, Warriors, Bulls, CSK and Wizards.

In three days, students played 6 matches including the quarter final, semifinal and final. The team ‘Tough Ones’ comprising Akshat Sharma, Ansh Sharma, Arshdeep Singh, Mannat, Mohit, Pranav, Rishabh, and Saksham, performed brilliantly and went on to win the championship. The team ‘Titans’ was the first runner up and the team Warriors emerged as the second runner up. Mohit Mahey came out as the best batsman  while the best bowler award was won by Azar Randhawa and Mohit Mahey was declared as the player of the tournament.

While congratulating all the teams Dr. Neerja Dhingra, Principal of ACFA, inspired the participants to work hard in the future as well. She also encouraged the other participating teams to perform even better in the coming editions. She added how ACFA along with academics, the students are encouraged to pursue sports as well. She further acknowledged the efforts of Dr. Jagmohan Mago, Dean, Student Welfare Association and Mr. Sahil Mahey of Department of Physical Education for successfully organising APL 4.
