Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA), Jalandhar, recently organised a one-day workshop on “Hair Cut and Styling Techniques”, hosted by the Department of Fashion Makeover. Renowned international hairstylist Mr. Tushar Bansal served as the Resource Person for the event. During the workshop, Mr. Bansal guided students through various tools, including straighteners, curling rods, and styling combs, emphasising the importance of understanding hair texture and sectioning for successful styling. He also shared insights on choosing the right hair products.

Dr. Neerja Dhingra, Principal of ACFA, highlighted the growing relevance of hairstyling for both men and women and appreciated the workshop’s practical value in helping students gain real-world expertise. She praised Ms. Meenal Sandhu for her efforts in organising the event and emphasised that these workshops equip students with valuable hands-on knowledge, helping them stand out in the competitive field of hairstyling.

The workshop provided students in the cosmetology department a comprehensive understanding of haircutting techniques, leaving them more confident in their skills and eager to apply what they learned. This initiative reflects Apeejay’s commitment to offering industry-relevant education through interactive and expert-led sessions.

Sharing her thoughts, Jyoti who is pursuing B.Voc ( Beauty Culture and Cosmetology) highlighted, “During the workshop, the way the resource person demonstrated the hair styling was really impressive and graspable. Apart from that, he covered international techniques of hair styling in just three hair styles.”

Another student Gorika from B.Voc ( Beauty Culture and Cosmetology) said, “The workshop really helped me to refine my skills and knowledge.I came across various hair cut and style products and cutting tools under one roof. The resource person gave us a golden opportunity to work with different products and tools on the same day.”
