It’s all about creating human values at Apeejay School, Tanda Road

The school celebrated its Annual Appreciation Day during which students felt reinvigorated with a sense of achievement

Apeejay School, Tanda Road in Jalandhar celebrated its Annual Appreciation Day with much joy and splendour. The two-day event titled ‘Kaleidoscope – hues of emotions’ was a massive hit among all students and parents alike.

The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, along with Ganesh Vandana playing in the background. Mr. Pankaj Bansal, PCS Asst. Commissioner, presided over as the Chief Guest of the function. Mr Baljeet Singh, PCS, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Jalandhar was the Guest of Honour. 

The students of the school recited Sanskrit shlokas in the ‘Mangal Mantra’ ceremony as an invocation for the divine powers to attend the event and bless the gathering with wisdom, courage and goodness. The students also performed a beautiful dance drama titled ‘Avayaktaya’ centered on the divine love between holy Radha and Shri Krishna. Also, the ‘Raasleela’ performance was a mesmerising presentation by the tiny tots of the school. 

Mr. Girish Kumar, Principal of Apeejay School Tanda Road, presented a memento to the guests as a token of his gratitude. He further said, “Our life is also like a kaleidoscope of emotions, sometimes struggles and sometimes smooth sailing. But with education, we train our minds to tackle these emotions in life. Apeejay School, Tanda Road is doing a wonderful job in this regard. My congratulations to all achievers and participants. And special regards to the contribution of teachers and parents in preparing the students for such a lovely event. ”

While addressing the gathering, Mr. Bansal thanked the school for inviting him and congratulated all the students on their terrific performance. He said, “I really admire the confidence of the students at Apeejay School, Tanda Road. At this age, I would not have been able to present such a cultural performance and that too so flawlessly. I can see that all the students here surely have a bright future ahead. I wish them the very best of luck and advise them to keep working hard and spreading goodness.”

The Guest of Honour Mr Baljeet Singh also congratulated all the winners and expressed, “In today’s changing world, we see a sharp change in the value systems. But I am very pleased to see that Apeejay School, Tanda Road, keeps a check on that by having a special award for moral values. It is indeed very essential.”

He further added, “Parent’s must focus on making their children strong and responsible. They must give their wards certain household duties and enable them to mature. This will also teach children the values of brotherhood and familial bonding.” In a final statement, Mr Singh reminded students that there is no shortcut to success, they must choose the way of work, intelligence and always respect their parents and teachers. 

The pearls of wisdom were followed by a unique performance, YogTarang, which was an amalgamation of yoga and patriotism. Apeejay School, Tanda Road students performed delightful acrobatic yogic poses in the backdrop of patriotic songs. The school auditorium reverberated in loud chants of ‘Ae Watan’ as students mesmerised the audience with yogic poses while waving the tricolor.

Joining virtually Mr Aditya Berlia, Co-promoter Apeejay Stya and Svran Group and Co-founder and Pro-chancellor of Apeejay Stya University, congratulated the school students and teachers in his address. He said, “The Apeejay Stya Group highly values the trust with which parents enroll their kids in the school. The school aims to not only produce young scholars but also enable them to find value and joy in their lives.” He added, “The school is committed to providing high quality education and environment. The school has a highly customised curriculum in this regard which prepares students for the 21st century.” He added that one finds this in the success of the school alumni.

He also stated, “Our alumni tells us that it is the character and values that go on to differentiate Apeejay Stya Group’s education model from that of other institutions. This has made our alumni not only successful in their respective fields but also as human beings.”

The auspicious occasion was also marked by the prize distribution ceremony. Meritorious students across pre-primary to class 8 received awards through the hands of the esteemed guests, who encouraged them to continue on the path of hard work and truthfulness.

Mrs. Deepti Kaushal, school coordinator, read out the annual report highlighting the colossal work done and countless achievements secured by the school. From fitness week to English and Hindi declamation contests to science exhibitions and celebration of Grandparent’s day, Apeejay School, Tanda Road, Jalandhar, leaves no stone unturned in providing holistic education to its students.  

It was followed by Shivansh Dubey, a student of the IT club of the school, sharing his experience of making a demo website of the school along with his team members. He also gave a live virtual demonstration of the computer codes learned during his classes.

A play on the life of Swami Vivekananda, whose life journey and quotes still inspire countless youth in the nation was appreciated by parents in the audience. However, the highlight of the event was a Rajasthani folk performance with a breathtaking use of lighting tools as dance props.

The event concluded with a high energy Punjabi Gidda performance by all girl students. Their enthusiasm captivated everyone in the audience as parents found themselves swaying to the beats of the Gidda song.
