Interact Club plants 110 saplings

Recently, Apeejay School, Sector 15, Faridabad, took another step towards environmental awareness through a Tree Plantation Drive. Organised by the students of the Interact Club, the activity aimed to make the school campus greener while helping students understand their role in protecting nature.

Learning through participation

The drive brought students together for a practical lesson in environmental conservation. Members of the Interact Club spoke about the importance of trees and their role in maintaining ecological balance. Rather than limiting the activity to a classroom discussion, the students actively participated in planting saplings across the school campus.

Students brought saplings from their homes and planted a total of 110 plants. Their participation reflected a shared effort to care for the environment and contribute to the growth of green spaces within the school.

Guiding young learners

The school Principal, Academic Coordinator, Pre-primary Incharge, and Interact Club Incharge, Ms Shilpa Maitra, also joined the plantation drive. They supported the students and helped the tiny tots of the pre-primary wing plant saplings.

The younger children were introduced to the value of trees in simple and familiar terms. They learned that trees give us clean air, shade, fruits, and beauty. This made the activity easy for them to understand and helped them connect with nature from an early age.

Building responsibility

The drive was not only about planting saplings. It also encouraged students to understand that caring for the environment requires regular effort and personal responsibility.

By taking part in the activity themselves, the students experienced how small actions can support a greener campus. The initiative helped develop a sense of responsibility and strengthened their love for nature. It also showed how environmental awareness becomes more meaningful when students are allowed to learn through action.
