At Apeejay School, Kharghar, academic excellence is a common trait among its students, and the 2024-2025 session is no exception. Apeejay Newsroom had the privilege of speaking with three standout performers from the 5th grade, now in 6th, whose hard work, dedication, and passion for learning have set them apart. Here’s a glimpse into their journey of success and the habits that have helped them shine.
Vansh Mestry: A focused student with a love for Math and Science
Vansh Mestry, a 6th grader at Apeejay School, Kharghar, achieved an impressive score of 98.65% in Class 5, making him one of the highest scorers in his batch. “I just studied well and prepared for my exams,” says Vansh humbly. He attributes his success to a well-structured timetable that helped him balance studies and leisure. “It allowed me to complete everything and still have time to play,” he shares.
For Vansh, staying focused is key to his productivity. “I study in a set time limit to remain focused,” he explains. With a passion for both Math and Science, Vansh enjoys the hands-on experiments in Science and finds Math easy to tackle. “Math is a little easy for me, and I like doing it,” he says. His hobbies include playing football and cricket, as well as reading books, which help him unwind.
Reflecting on his journey so far, Vansh adds, “If I had a superpower, I would want the ability to learn even faster.” Having just started 6th grade, he is excited about learning new things, including Sanskrit, and making new friends.
Aarav Ingawale: A curious mind with a timely approach to learning
Aarav Ingawale, another 6th grader from Apeejay School, Kharghar, scored an outstanding 98.61% in Class 5. When asked what motivated him, Aarav reveals, “I feel happy to be one of the star performers of 5th.” His secret to success lies in his daily routine. “I always complete my homework first and then focus on understanding new concepts being taught in school,” he says. Aarav finds that his timetable helps him stay organised and ensures he doesn’t miss out on learning new things.
Aarav is passionate about subjects like Social Science, Science, and Math. “In Social, we learn about the history of India, the UK, and many other countries, while in Science, I enjoy learning how plants and the human body function,” he shares. When he’s not studying, Aarav indulges in his hobbies of drawing and cycling, which he finds relaxing. “Cycling helps me relax a lot,” he says with a smile.
Having just entered 6th grade, Aarav is enthusiastic about learning life skills like self-belief. “We are learning to believe in ourselves and be helpful,” he notes.
