An ideal school for nursery and second-class students prioritises safety, nurtures emotional and social growth, and offers a stimulating and inclusive learning environment. “This school should provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating atmosphere that caters to the unique needs of young children,” says Rishma Mendiratta whose daughter Saira studies in class II at Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg.

How is Saira feeling at school?

She is now in class II and her progress so far is outstanding. The pedagogy for junior classes has been transformed into a more interactive-based learning approach. The course which is followed now is more child friendly.

What kind of activities does she enjoy at school?

Saira is only six years old and is a pro at skating which she is learning from the school. There are also other sports activities like football, basketball, lawn tennis, and table tennis. My son is into basketball there.

Why did you choose Apeejay?

Honestly, Saira was enrolled in the same school as her brother. We took this decision because we are aware of the school curriculum and the framework on which it runs. I am extremely happy with Apeejay, hence my daughter was admitted here.

How are you handling your kids at home?

Both my children are protective of each other. I am in the process of making my son Raghav self-independent. And now giving more time and attention to Saira for building a strong academic foundation for her. They both are the best brother-sister in the world and their bond is valuable.

How are the teachers here?

The teachers are incredibly supportive. Whenever I’ve encountered a problem or had a question, they’ve always been available to assist me. We also have a dedicated parent-teacher WhatsApp group where I can reach out to all subject teachers and get my doubts clarified.

Do you agree that school is the second home for a kid?

I agree. Both of my children spend a significant amount of their time at school, from 7 am to 3 pm, where they are constantly learning and acquiring new skills.
