India’s youth is making giant strides in the space sector, highlights PM Modi

In the 90^th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that “The country cannot lag behind as youth is ready to touch the sky.” Hailing several accomplishments in India’s space sector, he stated, “Earlier, youth thought about this sector as a secret mission but after the country undertook major reforms aiming to transform the Indian space sector, the same youth is now launching their own satellites.” He added that 750 school students from across the country are now working on 75 small satellites in the Amrit Mahotsav.

He praised the rapid growth of the private space-tech industry in India over the last few years. He further emphasised that this growth was unexpected, but fulfilled the early dreams of so many children to touch the stars in the sky.

PM also named several individual founders and space startups who are doing great work in their respective domains.
