Increasing awareness on ‘Cyber Swacchata’

Students and teachers of Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park attend Delhi police awareness programme to understand the need for creating a society free from cyber threats

Students and teachers of Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park recently attended the Delhi Police awareness programme organised to unveil the Cyber Swachhta Booklet and launch Cyber Uday 2.0 and Digilocker-Licensing.

Five students – Prateek Rout (11A), Anshuman Thakur (11A), R. Akanksha (12A), Sidhant Malik (12A), Soumya (12A) with 3 computer teachers attended the informative programme which began with the introduction of cyber Jagrookta Diwas.

During the event, Mr Vinai Kumar Saxena, Hon’ble L.G of Delhi unveiled an E-Booklet on “Cyber Swacchata for Citizens”, which will be used on social media platforms for creating cyber awareness. Along with this, he also launched integration of licensing services of Delhi Police with Digi-locker application.

Further addressing the launch event, Mr Sanjay Arora, Delhi Police Commissioner explained that the Delhi Police will continue to deal with Cyber Crime as a priority area in a professional and efficient manner.

He also assured to make society cyberproof of cyber threats through spreading cybersecurity awareness programmes and informed that the licensees can keep their license on Digi-locker which will stay safe and secured.

The initial target of Cyber Uday 2.0 is to reach and educate 26000 students in schools and colleges. Mr Arora further summarised the implementation of Cyber Jagrookta Diwas by the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) and the various awareness activities held in Schools, Colleges, RWAs, MWAs, and Malls, etc., by the Delhi Police since 2021.

The event was attended by students and teachers of various prestigeous schools of Delhi. Many eminent people of police headquarters also witnessed the programme.
