IGNOU extends admission deadline for July 2024 session

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the deadline for fresh admissions to its Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and online programmes for the July 2024 session. The new deadline for registration is now set for September 10, 2024. This marks the second extension, as the original cut-off was previously moved from July 31 to August 31, 2024.

Interested candidates who have not yet registered can do so through the official IGNOU website, ignou.ac.in, or by visiting ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. IGNOU announced the extension via Twitter, stating: “Extension of last date for July 2024 Fresh Admission till 10th Sept 2024 in respect of all programmes offered in ODL/Online mode for July 2024 session (except for Semester-based and Certificate programmes).”

To apply, follow these steps:

1. Visit the official IGNOU website at ignou.ac.in.

2. On the homepage, click on the link stating, “The last date for fresh admission in ODL/Online mode for the July 2024 session is extended till 10th September.”

3. A new page will appear; select the appropriate link to begin the registration process.

4. Create an account by filling in the required details, complete the application form, and pay the necessary fee.

5. Submit your application and keep a printed copy for future reference.
