ICSI CSEET May 2025: Registration closes on April 15

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has announced that the registration window for the Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET) May 2025 session will close on April 15, 2025. Aspiring candidates aiming to pursue the Company Secretary (CS) course must complete their applications by this deadline via the official ICSI website: icsi.edu.

The CSEET is a mandatory entrance examination for enrolling in the CS Executive Programme. It is conducted four times annually – in January, May, July, and November. The May 2025 session will be held online, allowing candidates to take the exam from any location while being monitored remotely.

Eligibility Criteria

Who can apply for CSEET:

Students who have passed Class 12 or are currently appearing for their Class 12 board exams.

Who is exempted from CSEET:

The following candidates do not need to appear for the CSEET and can directly register for the CS Executive Programme:

Students who have cleared the Foundation course of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).

Candidates who have passed the final exams of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) or the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI).

Graduates with at least 50% marks and postgraduate degree holders.

Exam Structure

The CSEET assesses candidates across four subjects:

Business Communication

Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning

Economic and Business Environment

Current Affairs and Quantitative Aptitude

Each subject carries 50 marks, totaling 200 marks for the entire exam. To qualify, candidates must secure at least 40% in each subject and an aggregate of 50% overall. Notably, there is no negative marking for incorrect answers.

Examination Guidelines

The exam duration is 120 minutes.

Use of calculators, pens/pencils, paper, or notebooks is prohibited during the exam.
