ICAI announces test dates; form submission to begin from Aug 2

The Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAI) in India has announced the schedule for the upcoming foundation, intermediate and final course exams which will take place in November and December. The application submission period for the Main, PQC and Foundation tests will commence on August 2.

The last date for submitting the application form without a late fee is August 23, and with a late fee of Rupees 600, the deadline is extended until August 30.

Further, the foundation course exam is scheduled to be held from December 24 to 30. The intermediate group 1 exams will take place from November 2 to 8, while the group 2 exams are scheduled from November 10 to 17. For the final course, group 1 exams will be conducted from November 1 to 7, and group 2 exams will be held from November 9 to 16.

International taxation assessment test for members will be conducted on November 9 and 11. Insurance and risk management (IRM) technical exam for members will be held from November 9 to 16.

The exam fee for intermediate course exams at Indian centres is Rupees 1500 for a single group and Rupees 2700 for both groups. Similarly for final course exams, the fee is Rupees 1800 for a single group and Rupees 3300 for both groups. Notably, the fees for international centres are different.

All exams will begin from 2 pm on the respective dates and the duration may vary from 2 to 4 hours. The exams will be held in nearly 285 cities across India and 8 centres abroad.
