Her daughter joined Apeejay School, Rama Mandi, in Class XI, and in these two years, the parent has seen marked changes in her. The school has supported her daughter not only in her studies, but also in becoming more confident as a person. Meet Priyanka, whose daughter Jyotika is studying here. In a candid interview, the mother talks about how the teachers have helped her daughter stay focused now that she is in Class XII.
Why did you choose Apeejay School for her?
We wanted a good school where she could get proper academic guidance and a healthy environment. After visiting the school and looking at everything, we felt it would be the right place for her. Looking back, I feel we made the right decision.
What changes have you seen in Jyotika over the last two years?
She has worked very hard in her studies. The teachers guided her well and helped her prepare seriously for her exams. Earlier, she was quite introverted, but after joining Apeejay, she became more comfortable and expressive. The environment of the school helped her open up.
How have the teachers helped her stay focused?
The teachers have been very supportive. They motivated her and helped her understand what she should focus on. Her Biology teacher, in particular, guided her well and also spoke to her about future courses and career options. That gave her more clarity.
How do you support her at home?
At home, we keep telling her to prepare well for her exams and stay focused on her goals. As parents, we try to encourage her and remind her that hard work is important, especially at this stage.
How has the parent-teacher communication been?
The communication has been very good. Whenever we visited the school, the teachers spoke to us properly and guided us well. I would especially like to mention the Vice-principal ma’am. She was very supportive, and the way she spoke always made me feel that my daughter was in the right school.
What, according to you, has been the biggest change in Jyotika?
The biggest change is that she has become more confident. Earlier, she was reserved, but the school environment helped her become more open. She is more focused now, and she has also started expressing herself better. For me, that growth matters a lot.
How has your overall experience been?
My experience with the school has been very good. I feel Jyotika is studying in a good environment, where teachers genuinely care about the students. As a parent, that gives a lot of reassurance.
