‘I feel confident and at ease after sending my son to the school’

Sana Khan, the mother of Zayaan Farooqi, has enrolled her child in KG D at Apeejay School Noida. She enthusiastically shares her thoughts on her experience with the school and the positive impact it has had on her child’s development and learning journey.

Can you share your overall experience with Apeejay School Noida so far?

I personally like the whole concept of the school that comes up with a unique way of building up the child’s public speaking skills and boosting their confidence and morale. They design the curriculum in such a way that parents get a chance to join them in the monthly performance platform and have a closer look at the teaching and learning process.

How would you describe your child’s journey at the school up to this point?

School is not just a place where children learn to read; it’s also a crucial institution for instilling values. From my perspective, my son Zayaan has not only acquired but excelled in these values. His enthusiasm for learning and his curiosity have significantly grown during his time at school. He comes back home with lots of questions, especially after his Lego Robotics classes.

What aspects of the school’s environment do you think have positively influenced your child’s development?

Zayaan was initially quite reserved, but thanks to the support of his teachers and the monthly programs that provide opportunities for interaction with peers, he has undergone a remarkable transformation. In the beginning, he was somewhat hesitant about going to school, but now he eagerly looks forward to it each day. Apeejay consistently offers engaging activities, creative ideas, and exciting programs that captivate children’s interest, making it hard for any child to resist.

Can you share insights into your child’s academic progress and achievements at Apeejay School Noida?

Initially, I had concerns about how well he would adapt to learning Hindi, considering it was a new language for him. However, I am delighted by the progress he has made. He excels in multiple aspects, including speaking, socialising, playing with friends, sharing, organizing, and a sense of belonging.

How does the school create a positive and safe learning environment for your child?

I feel confident and at ease after sending my son to school because I know he is in safe hands, whether it’s related to security at the gates, on the bus, or in the classroom. The teachers educate the students about good and bad touch and make them feel comfortable with other students while helping them adjust to diverse experiences and environments.

How does the school prepare students for their future endeavors, both academically and in terms of life skills?

Education and the pursuit of knowledge have shifted towards a more competitive approach rather than fostering a genuine enjoyment of the learning process. Apeejay, on the other hand, places a strong emphasis on recognising and nurturing the unique talents that each student possesses, rather than fixating solely on academic competition. To this end, the school hosts a diverse range of programs and activities, including Grandparents’ Day celebrations, Lego Robotics projects, dance classes, abacus training, theater performances, educational field trips, painting workshops, and computer-based learning opportunities.
