Apeejay School, Noida, recently organised a Hindi Kavita Pratiyogita for the students of Class 1 within the school premises. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation by the students who recited different poems on the theme of ‘Environment’.

This event provided students with an opportunity to display their talent, improve their self-confidence thereby promoting the spirit of healthy competition amongst them. Further, the aim was to provide a joyful learning experience to the young learners and help them strengthen their public-speaking skills.

The preliminary round of the competition was held on September 16, 2022 for all the sections. Out of 192 students, three students from each section were selected.

Displaying their immense talent, students dressed in costumes performed using colourful props. The students exhibited their talent through effective voice modulation, facial expressions and oratorical skills. They were judged on the parameters such as poem selection, confidence, clarity of speech, props, and costume as well as overall presentation.

Parents were delighted when they witnessed their kids perform so wonderfully.

Expressing about her daughter’s best performance in class, Tanishka Thapa’s mother said, “I took her to parks and gave her practical sessions about environment and pollution for 3-4 days, which helped her learn as well as understand about the environment better.”

“The teachers were very cooperative and helped Daivik in phonetics and voice modulation through various activities. His interest in reading helped him perform well. The props also played a major role in securing the first position”, said Daivik’s mother.
