‘Higher education institutions have major responsibility of transforming impressionable youth,’ says President Ram Nath Kovind

President Ram Nath Kovind recently inaugurated a two-day conference of vice-chancellors of central universities and directors of institutions of national importance at Rashtrapati Bhavan. At the event, he stated that higher education institutions have the major responsibility of transforming impressionable youth.

He added that we need to address the aspirations of youth, as they are future leaders in various spheres of life. Kovind remarked that digital technologies are expanding the boundaries of education and the key to achieving excellence is to harness its transformational benefits for enriching the teaching and learning experience.

The country’s institutions of higher learning are central as our young citizens are not only the inheritors of the past, but also the ones who will be leading India into its next golden age, he opined.
